Summarize is context compression, made visible: EROS reads back everything said so far and condenses it into a short, paste-able recap of the characters, the setting, what's happened, and the tone. Bring that recap into Instructions next time (later today, or in a future session) and the story continues right where it left off, without paying to resend the whole conversation first.
Summarize is billed the same as any other message: one regular request. Everything after it starts lighter, since you're no longer resending the full history just to get back to where you were.
